Russia-Ukraine War: "Russia intends to continue the uncompromising fight against militants of nationalist armed groups," Russian President Vladimir Putin told French leader Emmanuel Macron.
Russian President Vladimir Putin promised on Thursday to continue fighting what he called Ukrainian nationalists, adding that if Kyiv refuses to negotiate, the Kremlin may add to its demands.
"Russia plans to maintain its uncompromising action against militants of nationalist armed organizations," Putin said in a phone with French President Emmanuel Macron, adding that delaying conflict discussions would "only result in further demands on Kyiv in our bargaining stance."
Putin also expressed his dissatisfaction with Macron's comments on Ukraine the day before.
As Russian soldiers continue to encircle major Ukrainian cities with huge missile and rocket bombardment, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky stated today that "Russia will pay" for the invasion of his nation.
The United Nations General Assembly passes a resolution that "demands" Russia to withdraw "immediately" from Ukraine.
